The Backpacker’s Pantry Shepard’s Potatoe Stew with Beef is based on the traditional English dish of creamy mashed potatoes, all-natural beef, vegetables, and cheese in a red wine sauce. This meal makes two 13 oz servings and is gluten free. 

Directions: Remove and discard enclosed oxygen absorber before beginning food preparation. Add 2-3/4 cups (660 mL) of boiling water. Stir well. Close and let sit for 15-20 minutes. Stir and serve. Rehydration time doubles every 5,000 feet of elevation gain. Directions are set for 5,000 feet.
