Retail Store Returns

COVID-19 Update:

  • Select stores are re-opening in Ontario and will now accept in-store returns or exchanges. For store locations that remain closed, will be offering a 45-day extension to complete your return in-store once store locations re-open in your region.
  • For store locations in other provinces, we are accepting returns & exchanges in-store store with additional safety precautions in place. Please check our STORE LOCATOR for all updated store hours and contact information prior to your visit.


An original receipt is required for exchanges or returns for in-store and online purchases.  Within 30 days from the date of your purchase, an exchange or return can be made for unused/unworn merchandise in its original packaging.  Refunds made within 30 days will be made in the same form of payment as the original purchase.  Refunds made between 31 to 60 days will be applied to a MERCHANDISE CREDIT card.  If the amount of the return is less than $5.00, cash will be refunded.  Refunds over 60 days are not eligible.  You will be required to provide your name, telephone number, and postal code for a return or exchange transaction.


Online returns within 30 days of the order date listed on your eReceipt will be accepted at Atmosphere & Sport Chek retail stores for items that are unused/unworn, in original packaging, and with all paperwork, parts, and accessories for credit of the purchase price minus shipping and handling. PayPal returns at our Atmosphere & Sport Chek retail store locations will credit the Debit or Credit Card attached to your PayPal account.

To be eligible for a refund on your online purchase you must provide the following:

  • Photo ID matching Ship to/Bill to address
  • The unused/unworn item in original packaging with all paperwork, parts & accessories
  • The order eReceipt (printed copy or mobile device display)


The following items are considered FINAL SALE and are not eligible for a refund:

  • Clearance (Price Point ending in $0.88
  • “Open-Box” Electronics (including but not limited to drones, fitness trackers, heart monitors, GPS trackers)
  • Products associated with hygiene and public safety (including but not limited to swimwear, underwear, masks, climbing equipment, mouth guards, hydration)
  • Nutritional and Food Products


Returns using a gift receipt will be applied to a MERCHANDISE CREDIT card within 60 days.  The gift receipt will help us determine the price your gift giver paid.  A gift receipt is documentation of the purchase only and is not considered an original receipt.  You will be required to provide your name, telephone number, and postal code for the transaction.


Store personnel can assist in retrieving your receipt for in-store or online purchases.  If your receipt is retrieved, a refund may be processed if it falls within the parameters of this RETURN POLICY.  In the event we are unable to retrieve your receipt we will be unable to process the return.


When a regular priced item purchased during a “Buy One, Get One” event is returned, the discount on the second item is forfeited.  The second item may be repurchased at the current selling price or both items can be returned for a full refund.  When items are purchased as part of a promotional offering, a free item can only be refunded with the return of all items.  Individual items can be exchanged.  A refund may be processed if it falls within the parameters of this RETURN POLICY.


Should your purchase develop a manufacturer's defect under regular use, you may be eligible for a refund or exchange.  Please return to a retail store for assistance.  If your product is eligible for a warranty claim, a refund may be processed if it falls within the parameters of this RETURN POLICY.  You will be required to provide your name, telephone number, and postal code for the transaction.


At Atmosphere & Sport Chek  we constantly strive to offer competitive prices in the market.  Prior to purchase, if you find an item available for sale at a lower advertised price by our competitors; or within 15 days of purchase, if you find your item advertised at a lower price by our competitors or at our store, we will gladly match the price.

Conditions:  Present your original receipt along with proof that the item is being advertised at a lower price.  The price must be verified by our employees, must be in Canadian currency, and must be sold by an authorized retailer located in Canada (internet offers do not apply). The advertised item must be the same brand and model, size, color, and be available for immediate purchase.  This policy does NOT apply to demo products, third party offers (i.e. ski passes), advertising errors or misprints, rebates, coupons, free or combined offers, (i.e. gift with purchase), limited time offers (i.e. grand opening sales), flash sales, special pricing events (i.e. VIP, Friends & Family, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Boxing Day), closeout, or liquidation items.  The conditions of our price match policy may be modified without notice.


Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash. Atmosphere & Sport Chek is not responsible for lost or stolen Gift Cards.


Atmosphere/Sport Chek reserves the right to change this Return Policy without notice to its customers and will not be held responsible for any loss or damage suffered as a result of such changes.
