Gift Cards purchased in store and online can be redeemed both in-store at Atmosphere and Sport Chek locations and online at Atmosphere.ca or SportChek.ca.
When you are ready to make a purchase at a retail store, present your plastic Gift Card or display your eGift Card on your Smart Phone to the cashier.
When making an online purchase, Gift Cards can be redeemed during the payment stage of the checkout. The Gift Card number and PIN (located on the back of the card) can be used to redeem the amount on the card as payment.
If your Gift Card does not have a PIN, but you wish to redeem it online, please visit us in-store to exchange your Gift Card. You cannot redeem your Gift Card online without a PIN.

If a Gift Card or eGift Card was used for payment and you return an item to one of our Atmosphere or Sport Chek retail stores, the refund will be in the form of a Merchandise Card. These cards are treated the same as Gift Cards and do not expire.
If a Gift Card or eGift Card was used for payment and you return an item to our Warehouse, the refund will be in the form of a Sport Chek eGift Card. This eGift Card can be redeemed online and in-store and does not expire.

If the amount on your Gift Card or eGift Card does NOT cover the total purchase amount, you will need to pay for the remainder of the purchase with another form of payment. Online, this would mean a credit card, PayPal, or another Gift Card. In-store, this could be cash, debit, or credit card.
If the amount on your Gift Card or eGift Card is MORE than the total order amount, the balance will be stored on your Gift Card or eGift card for future use.
Atmosphere and Sport Chek Gift Cards and eGift Cards do not expire.

Happy Cards can be redeemed online and in-store at Sport Chek or SportChek.ca only. It cannot be redeemed as a Gift Card and must instead be redeemed as a credit card using the 16-digit number located on the back of the Happy Card. Purchases must be of equal or lower amount than the balance on the card. A purchase cannot be split between a Happy Card and another credit card.
If you are being asked to buy a Gift Card to pay someone, STOP! It’s a scam. Gift Cards are for gifts, not payments. Anyone who demands payment by Gift Card is always a scammer. This includes a stranger or someone pretending to be a loved one who calls and says they are in trouble, who then ask you to provide Gift Card numbers to help them. Hang up and contact your loved one directly. If you’re still feeling pressured into buying Gift Cards: STOP. HANG UP THE PHONE. Take a moment to calm down, and if you still have concerns look up the correct information for the company or agency before calling. Don’t always trust your caller ID. Scammers can manipulate a caller ID to look like a number of a friend, a legitimate company or government agency. No legitimate company or agency will ever ask you to make a payment by Gift Card.
- The Canadian Government will never ask you to buy Gift Cards to pay taxes or make a payment. This includes the CRA.
- The police will never ask you to buy Gift Cards to pay a fine or help someone get out of jail. This includes a local police department or the RCMP.
- Banks will never ask you to buy Gift Cards to store your money.
- Tech support from a company will never ask you to buy a Gift Card to pay to fix your computer.
- A legitimate business or professional will never demand Gift Cards for an emergency payment or to claim a prize.
- STOP and don’t go any further
- Do not text or send photos of the Gift Card numbers or the PINs that go with them
- Do not read off the numbers to anyone
- Contact your bank as soon as possible, using the number on the back of your debit or credit card
Don’t purchase an Atmosphere or Sport Chek Gift Card if it appears that the packaging or printing has been damaged, altered, or manipulated in any way. Select another Gift Card or ask someone who works at that store for help.
